Of particular note are the Hot Aisle Containment System, and the managed PDU system.

The APC InfrastruXure Hot Aisle Containment System consists of "Pods"; rows of racks places back to back with a service space between them, and a roof overhead. This service space is sealed to prevent hot air from escaping and mixing with the precious cool air from the air conditioning systems. The system works be sucking the cold air from the air conditioning systems in the front bezels of the servers, cooling them, but then trapping the hot air behind the racks and exhausting it out of the data center. This system lowers energy costs by preventing the cool air from being reheated by the hot air from the servers, which thereby helps the environment by requiring many fewer tonnes of air conditioning capacity.

The APC Managed PDU system allows each individual server to be powered on and off, but it also monitors power usage, at the server level, and at the rack level. This allows customers to isolate which individual systems are using the bulk of the electrical power. Newer server hardware presents significant power savings, and allows for higher system density as less power is turned into waste heat. All ServerBolt servers use 80+ Certified power supplies to further reduce power draw and the generation of waste heat.
